2026-10-25 · Primetime restored in the pathway comparison
detail: Pathway comparison dropped Primetime: --top N counted the re-release 'The Devils 2026 Re-release' (#15 by daily gross) as one of the N, so the default --top 15 comparison runs stopped at 14 ranked films and Primetime (#16) fell off. The live run had used --top 16. Fixed in run.py: --top now counts ranked films only; re-releases are listed but don't use a slot.
cost: Primetime's 81 uncached comments (17 were already cached from the labelled sets) were scored once per OpenRouter pathway; every other comment came from cache/stance/. Total $0.8435: or_claude-haiku-5.5 $0.0069, or_claude-opus-5.5 $0.2852, or_claude-sonnet-5.5 $0.1340, or_gemini-3.5-flash-lite $0.0150, or_gemini-4-argon $0.0998, or_gpt-6-luna $0.0056, or_gpt-6.1-sol $0.0832, or_grok-4.7 $0.2138.

why: Stance models score the Reddit signal as the share of opinionated commenters who liked the film; in self-selected discussion threads that is 93-98 for most films, so 8 of 15 films cleared the absolute 75 under GPT-6.1 Sol. A relative bar (top quarter of what is playing, never below 75) is scale-independent, so one rule works for every pathway. Skip stays absolute: it already picked the same 4 films under every pathway. Weights are unchanged (reddit .45, audience .20, critics .20, cinemascore .05, boxoffice .10).
earlier related: Reddit consensus was redefined earlier (501f2c3): |pos - neg| / (pos + neg), weighted, replacing v1's 1 - sd(VADER compound)/0.8, which was scale-dependent and collapsed to 0 for model probabilities. Consensus gate stays >= 0.15.

why: Most accurate pathway on the labelled sets (held-out 86.6% vs siebert+opinion 58.9%, challenge 93% vs 76%; see compare.html). Live list is built from cached per-comment verdicts (cache/stance/), so the switch cost nothing beyond the Primetime fill.
cheap rerun option: openrouter:openai/gpt-6-luna (held-out 80.4%, challenge 93%; ~$0.10 per full cold run of 1,381 comments vs ~$1.47 for Sol, estimated from all API calls so far)
